lovely ladies at the markets. I met one a couple of weeks ago, she had her spinning wheel there and was selling her hand knits, amongst them was an aircell crochet blanket of various colours, we got talking
as us nosey crafters do.
The guts of it was she had dyed the blanket in a black plastic rubbish bag on her deck using acid dyes squirted onto the wool, squeeshing gently to saturate the garment, then leaving it outside – in the winter no less – for a week, so like any curious, nosey crafter I just had to put it to the test and this is the results, only I left the fleece out for a couple of weeks as I forgot it.
But it worked out just the same, no colour co-ordinates as I was just testing out the theory and used up some left over dyes I had in a couple of bottles.
Summer is coming just imagine the results when it heats up out there.
Now it’s your turn, have a go, it takes very little time, no power, no clock watching:)
