A big WELCOME to all our new members who joined us at Woolfest Auckland this year. We hope you enjoy belonging to our wonderful organisation and the sharing of our crafting experiences together. Please remember you are welcome to join any groups in Auckland (you can belong to more than one, many of us do) and do come along to any activities happening to get to know other members. Groups are listed here Also, do remember to join our Facebook page to help keep up with what is happening in the Auckland Area.
Woolfest Auckland 2018
Woolfest Auckland was a whopping success and we would like to thank every one of you who helped to make it so. Your assistance with the set up, on the day and with the clean up helped to make everything run as smoothly and effectively as it did. The public (and many of you who came on the day) did have difficulty with the traffic and parking. This has just reinforced to us that the change of venue next year to Kumeu Showgrounds is well overdue. Showgrounds are easy to access and there is lots of parking available on site along with 4 well lit sheds and level floors throughout.
Woolfest Auckland 2019 will be held on Saturday 25th May 2019.
Congratulations to the winners of our prize draws at Woolfest Auckland, one for a new member who joined on the day and one for an existing member. The winners are: Kay Parrish and Delwyn Colquhoun

2018 Retreat Weekends 27 July/7 September
Plans are now well underway for this year’s two Retreat Weekends and we already have a number of bookings. When you make your booking to our email address, email@example.com please state your name and which weekend you would like to come to. Robin, our treasurer, will invoice you. Payments can be made in full or in part payments. We have some wonderful classes planned covering knitting, crochet, spinning, felting and a surprise. We are currently finalising classes and will give more information soon. We will be having two wonderful raffles at each weekend with the funds raised going to charity.
This year’s Retreat Weekends are $250.00 per person and this covers all food (if you have special dietary needs please note that they are offering only a vegetarian option and very limited Gluten Free this year), your own warm single bedroom and linen for the weekend. We start at 7.00 Friday evening (eat dinner before you come) with a glass of wine and a few nibbles, and we are finished by 5.00 Sunday afternoon. All you need to bring is your clothing and crafting supplies. Our Retreat Weekends are a great way to relax, learn from others there and meet lots of like minded people. We have a fridge provided for your wine and extra food you may like to bring (baking shared is always welcome) and we are always made to feel very welcome by the St Francis Brothers.
